A Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT) is one of many different pre-flight activities to ensure a safe and successful operation. Documenting information such as crew rest, time-in-type, weather etc. is a good way to get a pulse on how ready the crew is to take on a potentially high risk flight. With WBAT’s FRAT, your employees can fill out the worksheet anywhere, anytime, and you will get a notification based on the submitted score.
This fully customizable worksheet allows you to tailor questions, weights, and automated notifications based upon your operation.
Already use a program for your Flight Risk Assessments? We use state-of-the-art technology to process your FRAT so you can receive notifications when a high risk flight is logged in the WBAT platform. Once the submitter completes the form, a sequence of automated notifications may be triggered, and flight risk approvals are submitted to appropriate personnel, if necessary.
The FRAT is based on InFO 07015, industry best practices and feedback from WBAT Platform+Support subscribers. It is intended for use by organizations interested in pre-flight risk assessments, or any other operator looking to complete a risk assessment for regular operations.
While the FRAT was initially used by pilots, this tool can be used in any employee group to assess the risk associated with a specific day, trip, or operation.
When configuring the FRAT, users can create a custom list of questions with a weighted score for each question. The scores add up to calculate a final score for each leg of the day, up to 5 legs.
WBAT also makes it easy for users to output your FRAT data. Our data visualization functionality allows users to search specific questions to see if a trend is developing within the FRAT report type.
